Medal
of honour
For the
first time in history the CEP presented a medal of
honour reserved for meritorious people in the CEP
organization.
During the
finals of the Euro Cup for Clubs 2011 in Luxembourg
the President of the CEP Mr. Flemming Jensin
honoured two persons with that special medal.
The first
medal of honour was for Mr. Gerard Schneider,
President of the Luxembourg Federation. Gerard
received the medal for the way he developed the CEP
after the death of the first President Karsten
Köhler. During his period as the second President of
the CEP he was the driving force of the
organization. When he resigned from the CEP in 2004
he had established a good foundation for the new
Board to develop the organization, as we know it
now.
The second
medal of honour was for Mr. Klaus Eschbach,
President of the German Federation. Klaus who will
immigrate to Thailand in 2012 was of big value of
the CEP. He has been Vice-President of the CEP and
is still the Treasurer with a big responsibility for
the financial balance in a rapidly growing
organization. Beside that he made the logo and all
other designs who are used in the organization and
Klaus was always working at the control table during
every European Championship.
