Euro Cup of Clubs

The European Cup of Clubs came in 1997 into existence. The United Kingdom, Estonia, Denmark, Sweden and Finland were the first in joining. The starting competition included the season 1997 and 1998. Germany and Switzerland followed the others in 1999; 2000 Belgium joined them, and in 2001 France, Slovenia and Italy. In 2002 Israel and the Czech Republic were added, 2003 Luxemburg and Monaco, 2004 the Netherlands and in 2006 Austria completed the row of participants. 2008 Scotland, Wales and England replaced the United Kingdom and Turkey finally joined the Cup too.
